The Moral Injury Outcome Scale (MIOS) is a self-report scale developed by the Moral Injury Outcome Consortium, an international group of researchers and clinicians. The MIOS is designed to capture the severity of moral injury outcomes in response to an index event (potentially morally injurious experience). The scale is made available here on behalf of the consortium. The intention of this webpage is to provide the public with the most current versions of the MIOS, along with an updated list of consortium members, references, instructions, and other relevant materials.

Scale Structure
Depending on administrators needs and contexts, different versions of the MIOS have been created to facilitate optimal data collection needs. In each of the versions, the core 14 items of the MIOS are always included.
