Rachel Plouffe, PhD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Rachel Plouffe is currently an Affiliate Scientist with MacDonald Franklin OSI Research and Innovation Centre (MFOSIRC) and a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Dundee. Rachel obtained her Master of Science and PhD degrees in Psychology at Western University. Prior to her role as Affiliate Scientist and Lecturer, Rachel undertook a three-year postdoctoral position with MFOSIRC, where she conducted research examining associations between combat exposure and posttraumatic stress disorder in Canadian Armed Forces Veterans, and whether these relations were influenced by personality trait levels. Rachel’s work at MFOSIRC also reflects the development and validation of measures designed to assess levels of moral injury and positive mental health in Veterans and health care workers.
