Dr. Richardson is the Scientific Director of MacDonald Franklin OSI Research and Innovation Centre and Medical Director of St. Joseph’s OSI Clinic. He is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University and Assistant Clinical Professor (adjunct) in Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. He also holds the distinguished title of Research Fellow with the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR). Dr. Richardson is one of the foremost experts on military-related PTSD and has more than two decades of experience in the assessment and treatment of CAF members and Veterans with PTSD and other OSIs. Resulting in over 50 published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, Dr. Richardson has conducted research in multiple areas of military and Veteran mental health, including risk factors for PTSD and suicidal ideation, health care utilization, treatment outcomes, and the impact of PTSD on quality of life.
